16.15

I'm still sitting on my workdesk doing my works while the heavy rain fall outside the windows. I love this weather. It's cold and quiet, and even more, I'm alone here. I feel desolate but I'm happy. I think I'd rather be alone, struggling with works than having chit chat just for the sake of politeness.

A silver rectangle object near me was blinking and trembling while I sip my coffee, I ignored it. It's not a good day. There are so many things swarming in my mind. Mostly bad. Bad memories that I never deliberately recorded into my mind. I'm trying to hold my anger, all the hatred feelings. Period kills my mood. It's okay, everything will get better soon. But one thing for sure, I find peace in the rain.

Ramadan 2.0

It was 4.10 PM I just back from my work. My roommate told me she didn’t do iftar at dorm because her boyfriend asked her to do iftar at his house. Then, I’m alone at my room while waiting for iftar time in the next 2 hours. I decided to go out because I’m not in the mood of being alone at that time, it was so stuffy being at dorm all over the weekdays. I drove my car aimlessly. But then suddenly I imagine how nice and comfort it would be to do iftar at home with my family. So I turn around towards the highway and go home. Back to Jakarta.

After I arrived at home, my family looked surprised. I didn’t tell them that I’m going back home that day. My sister checked the calendar to ensure whether today is the day I usually get back to home. I laughed. With a surprised look on her face my mom asked me whether I have any problem because it was so odd to find me back home in weekdays. I said no. I just want to do iftar with my family. My mom looked relieved. I spent 3 hours at home and went back to dormitory. 3 hours being surrounded with my loved ones is not enough. But it’s okay. There’s still another weekends, right?

It’s my second year to not perform Ramadan with my family since I live at dormitory. Going through Ramadan without family beside you is quite hard. Especially when you’re never stay too far – and too long – from your family before. Sometimes I feel lonely and hopeless, feels like I want to go back to home and get back together with my family. The most comfortable place in the solar system. But no. It’s not that easy, man. There are lot of things to consider. The distance between my home to my office, the need to get up much earlier (LOL I know this must be the most lame reason I ever had), and some other major reasons.

This is hard. But I never regret my decision. Living far from my loved ones builds me to be a stronger person, and independent. One thing I need to tell you guys, well it’s cliché but true. Never be afraid to try new things. New things will get you when you’re out of your comfort zone. Be brave.

My Childhood Dream

It's so odd that I need to spend more than 5 minutes to write the first paragraph of this post. I don't know what to write, ironically, I don't know what to tell. I have a lot of stories to share but I don't have any idea how to pour it out here. Is it what they called writer's block?
Wait...
Ok.

I'm going to tell you about the company I work for and I'll label it as an experience. When I was 10 years old I always wondering how is it to be a worker in a multi national company, having foreigner bosses, talking alien language to your coworkers, and handling various kind of problems. This curiousity began to appear since I've watched many hollywood films and so and so, yeah I know I'm such a dreamer at that time (Uhm.. Until now I guess). I was wondering how is it to be a worker who works in a high modern building as well. When I was a child my parents often drives me around Jakarta and I saw many high modern office buildings and I secretly pray that someday I could be one of those people who works inside those.

Long story short, I got a chance to had an internship in one of the fancy building located in district office in South Jakarta. I was so happy not only I could embody my dream to work in a fancy building; but also I had a chance to work in one of a fancy television station (hahaha), though I just did an internship but I got so many knowledges from my seniors. It was one of my amazing experience and such an honour for me to have a chance to work with them.

Years later, in an ordinary sunny day I got a phone call from this company I work for now. A women from the other side of the phone told me to come to do an interview. I've never expected before that I could have a chance to do an interview with this company, so I'm starting to study the night before the interview is held. Another long story short, I interviewed by the CEO of the company, the atmosphere was so tense I could barely breathe hahaha. The CEO is a Japanese man, maybe around 48 years old. He's very friendly but it doesn't make my nervous getting less though hahaha. Shortly, the company hired me (Thank God) and now - 2 years later, I'm still working in this company.

Sometimes I do speak alien language, in this case, I speak Japanese. 75% staffs of this company can speak Japanese. And it's a mandatory for me to speak English since my CEO can't speak Bahasa fluently yet. It's my boss who teach me Japanese regularly once a week, it's always on Friday by the way (he's one of Japanese men who works here). He's very excited to teach me hahaha, he even gave me 3 manual books of how to learn Japanese; Katakana; Hiragana; and Kanji. I can't complain because I do have many advantage here, and the main thing is I can learn Japanese for free and got a native Japanese tutor. Hahahaha.

You can say that my childhood dreams came true. I was living my dream when I want to work in a fancy building, and I'm about living my dream that I work in an multi national company, talking alien things and stuffs, having a job that I wanted - handling various kinds of problems - from internal to external problems - you know, being surrounded by a lot of work and getting busy is very sexy.

I feel blessed. I am totally blessed. And I am very grateful for it.
So, which childhood dreams that already came true for you? 😊

A New Year

Sebelumnya mohon maaf karena judul di atas sepertinya nggak terlalu nyambung sama isi post kali ini hahaha. But anyway, selamat tahun baru semua!

My Weekend

I enjoyed my weekend with my family. On Saturday morning I made an appointment with my mom and my aunt to do breakfast together at a food shop not far from my house. After dropping my sister to college, I went there and meet them. The food shop named “Soto Mbok Giyem”, this food shop always crowded at any time from morning to afternoon, I’m not surprised because the Soto taste delicious. I’ll show you the Soto later! And oh! I forgot to describe the Soto hahaha. We can choose the topping of this Soto, Soto Ayam or Soto Daging you decide. Maybe you guys called it soup. Yeah kinda looks like a soup. But let’s just call it “Soto”, okay? This soto taste so good and savory (which I like it so much). Soto Ayam, as its name, has chickens and vermicellies in it. And Soto Daging has beefs, vermicellies and bean sprouts in it. I usually order Soto Daging because… I just love it. This Soto served with only ingredients that I mentioned before, but, we can add our Soto with another dishes that already served at our table, such as, Quail Eggs Satay, Kikil Satay, Ati Ampela Satay, (sorry I can’t mention the right meaning of this dishes in English haha) Tempe, Tofu, and some other types of side dishes. Trust me, every side dishes in here is sooo delicioso.

On Saturday morning, my brother inviting me to do morning stroll with his scooter (well, he’s not really inviting me tho, I am the one who forced him to take me do the morning stroll hehehe what a lame). We left home around 7 am (we were overslept after Solat Subuh, he usually leave home for a stroll at 6 am), then we went to my aunty’s first at Cipete, playing with Mimin for a sec (Mimin is her very cute cat) and after that we continue riding towards SCBD Sudirman. SCBD area was so quiet, there was only few people do joggings and a bunch of big motorcycles parked in food court area. No traffic jams or honking of impatients cars as it is always happen to this area on weekdays. What a soothing atmosphere. After we satisfied strolling around in SCBD, we had a quick stop at MCD Drive thru to get some foods, we ordered sausage wraps and ice coffee (my favorite!). Ahhh we were so thirsty and hungry hahaha.

Well, the little things I do with my family could recharge my mood and pepped me up to face Monday. So how’s your weekend? :)

See You When I See You

Last night one of my best friends flew to Texas, US to continue her study. Sad? Of course. We couldn't meet for such a long time. If only she went to Malaysia or Singapore I can still see her more often because the distance isn't too far. But it's US man! Hundred miles away from the place where I sit right now. Definitely in the other parts of the world. She's in West when I'm in the Southeast Asia. This explain much, right? But on the other hand, I am very happy feels like I'm gonna bursting of excitement because this is definitely what she wanted to do since we graduated from our college. Although in the beginning she was so sad because she need to leave her family, friends, and of course boyfriend hahaha. I always pray the best for you, hon. Semoga Allah selalu melindungi lo dimanapun lo berada. Aamiin.

See you when I see you, hon!

I'm finally back at home after a week stayed at my dorm. I don't know, feels like I've left my home for years ago. I miss my home and everything in it. Especially my room. Wuhu!!

I spent this weekend with enjoying my room which I already told you that I miss it so much, did nothing but browsing and read some books I've never read before. What a relaxing weekend. (at least, for me). I think I need a quality time with myself. A short holiday won't hurt anybody right?

Homecoming. Mudik.

I just back from Yogyakarta three days ago. I went to Yogyakarta just for 3 days to meet my big family and relatives who lived there. This time, this short holiday – or we can call it shortly as mudik (haha) not really interesting for me, because I used to go to Yogyakarta once – or twice a year, sooo… It’s not that special. I just found some new places I had never visited before, such as new hotels, beaches, café(s), and any other hang out places. We (me, my sister and my brother) also had a chance to try out those new places, those was good. Well, standard. Not bad, but not excellent. Well it’s pretty good anyway (WHATEVER SA). We always go to Yogyakarta by car. My daddy doesn’t like to use other transportations like train, or by plane if it comes to mudik. Unless it’s urgent condition, he will never use those. He said “mudik by plane or train has no art. We can’t feel the jams. The art of mudik is in the congestions.” Well yeah. Whatever dad :’’)
When we were on our way home to Jakarta, there was a car accident right in front of our car. The car was rollover. I can see the broken glasses, stuffs, and gasoline spilled and scattered around the car. I can smell the gas came out from the car. The atmosphere was so tense at that time. People around that place, including the travelers, and my dad immediately help the victims that still trapping in the car. I can see kiddies, toddlers, elderly and adults comes out from the rollover car. I pulled my car while waiting for my dad who was helping the victims with other. When my dad came back, we involved an oddly discussion.

Me: Is there any injures victims?
Dad: I think the toddler’s leg was injured. Tho the car’s windows was broken, but their syrups doesn’t broke at all. There were lot of syrups in the car.
Mom: How come? What syrup is that?
Dad: Lot of syrups, there were ABC, Marjans, I don’t remember any brands, but there was a lot of syrups.

Why on earth they were more focused on syrups, not the victims…………………………………………………………….

Here I uploaded some photos (you might not want to see, but I will still upload those photos HAHAHA) you might curious about my mudik experience in 2016. I don’t take some photos because..... I think I am a kind of person who doesn’t really like to take photos when I’m on vacation because I couldn’t enjoy my vacation if I take too many photos. These photos aren’t cool, or artsy since I’m not into it and not trying to be it and I can’t be it cause I’m such like a flat person I don’t have any skill or expert at anything (((SO LAME))).

Selamat Idulfitri and happy holiday, everyone!

A Buzzing Thing In Mind

Now, as a 24 years old woman, I got a lot of questions about marriage. "When are you getting married?" "Do you already have a catch?" and all kind of similar questions. Well actually, I’ve been thinking about it too, in my younger years I thought that I would be married at 25 or 26.

It is verrrryyyyy annoying. I checked google what kind of illness that is attacking me right now and voila! I found it. It was Rhinitis.

HPV Vaccine

I was talking with my friend, Fatimah about HPV Vaccine. Some of you might know about this vaccine. HPV is Human Papilloma Virus. It’s a virus that infects cervix and causes cervix cancer. First time I heard the details about this virus, I am totally scared. So we (me and Fatimah) decided to do the vaccine. We were starting to find budget information about this vaccine aaand it’s quite expensive tho. But don’t worry, some hospitals and clinics does have promos for this vaccine. But mostly, it happens on women international days (if  I’m not mistaken haha). Well I hope our plan to get the vaccine goes well. Wish us luck!

I called it "gloomy" night

Hi guys how are you? I just got home from dentist, the road was totally sick. Traffic everywhere I barely feel my feet right now. And I guess I barely feel my feeling huh.
I am an emotional one. I mean, I cry easily, and at some points I mad easily either. I feel so frustrated to people these past few years. I feel like, people always trying to bring me down. I'm mad. I cried. I can't hold my anger. This is so frustrating. Can I please have someone to lean on?
